The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE (Fan Edition) is supposed to be the "Flagship Killer." It has the same AI features as the S24 Ultra but costs hundreds of dollars less.
After using it for 3 months, I realized that the spec sheet lies. The experience is actually better than I expected.

1. The Screen & Build
It’s big (6.7 inches), which is actually larger than the standard S24.
- The Good: The 120Hz AMOLED is gorgeous. Gaming on Roblox or Call of Duty Mobile feels incredibly smooth.
- The Bad: The bezels (the black bars around the screen) are slightly thicker than the S25. Does it matter? Not really. You forget about them after 10 minutes.
2. The Cameras (The Real Test)
Samsung didn't cheap out here.
- Main Lens: It takes crisp, vibrant photos. The "Nightography" mode is surprisingly good for low-light shots.
- Telephoto: It has a 3x Optical Zoom. Most phones in this price range (like the Pixel 8a) only use digital zoom. Having a real zoom lens is a game changer for concert photos or snapping pics of pets from far away.
It runs the Exynos 2400e chip.
- Daily Use: Zero lag. Apps open instantly.
- Galaxy AI: Yes, it has the "Circle to Search" and "Live Translate" features. I use Circle to Search constantly to find products I see on TikTok.
The Verdict: Buy or Wait?
If you can find the S24 FE on sale (it often drops to ~$450-$500), it is the best value phone of 2025.
The S25 is faster, sure. But is it $300 faster? In my opinion: No.
