I've been using the Samsung ecosystem for a while now, pairing my phone and watch together. Naturally, the Galaxy Buds2 Pro seemed like the next logical step. But do they actually sound good, or are you just paying for the brand synergy?
After using these daily for school, coding sessions, and travel, here is my honest take.
Unlike the older glossy models, the Buds2 Pro feature a soft-touch matte finish. Not only does this look premium (especially in Graphite or Purple), but it also helps them stay in your ear better. They are 15% smaller than the previous generation, and honestly, they are some of the most comfortable earbuds I’ve worn. They sit flush in the ear, which is great if you ever listen to music while lying down.
If you like bass, you are going to love these. Out of the box, the tuning is punchy and energetic.
The Active Noise Cancellation here is top-tier. It cuts out the low rumble of a bus or the chatter of a busy coffee shop effortlessly. The standout feature, however, is Voice Detect. When you start speaking, the buds automatically lower your music volume and switch to Transparency mode so you can order a coffee without taking them out. It feels like magic every time.
This is the double-edged sword. If you have a Galaxy device, these are seamless. You open the case, they connect. You switch from your phone to your Galaxy Tab, and the audio follows you. However, if you don't use the Galaxy Wearable app, you lose out on EQ settings and firmware updates.
The Buds2 Pro are currently the king of the hill for Samsung users.
