If you've been into PC gaming for more than five minutes, you know the Logitech G502. It's legendary. But in 2026, heavy, wired mice are a thing of the past. Enter the G502 X PLUS, Logitech's wireless, RGB-infused evolution of the classic.
I've been using this as my main driver for gaming on my HP Omen and for coding work. Here is the verdict.
The first thing you notice is the redesign. It still has that aggressive, angular "G502" shape, but it feels more refined. The rubber grips are integrated into the shell now, so they won't peel off after a year of sweaty intense gaming sessions.
The "PLUS" in the name stands for the 8-LED lighting strip across the palm rest. It looks incredible, especially with the "Active Play" feature that dims the lights when your hand covers them to save battery.
The biggest change is under the buttons. Logitech is now using LIGHTFORCE hybrid switches. They combine the clicky, tactile feel of mechanical switches with the speed and reliability of optical switches.
Of course, it wouldn't be a G502 without the dual-mode scroll wheel. You can toggle it between a standard ratcheted scroll (great for switching weapons) and a free-spinning hyper-fast scroll.
Despite the bright RGB, the battery life is solid. I’m getting about 37 hours with the lights on constant, but if you turn them off, it jumps to over 120 hours. Since it uses USB-C charging, I just plug it in for 20 minutes while grabbing lunch, and it's good for days.
The G502 X PLUS isn't cheap, but it's built like a tank and performs like a sports car.

🔥 Gaming Pick: This is currently one of the most advanced mice on the market. If you can catch it on sale, it's an endgame peripheral.
